Timothy Bush is an author/illustrator living in New York City whose work (at the moment) is focused on monsters, urban sketching, and children's books. His commercial clients include Samsung, Walmart, Home Depot, and leading behavioral research firm Envirosell, Inc.

His children's book work includes author and/or illustrator credits on more than 25 books for young readers. Characterized by imagination, humor and high energy, his stories use settings as diverse as Ice Age France, contemporary Washington, DC and outer space to explore basic issues of childhood.

BENJAMIN MCFADDEN AND THE ROBOT BABYSITTER, which he wrote and illustrated, was optioned as a feature film by Walt Disney Pictures.

His illustration work includes MY DAD'S JOB by Peter Glassman, which has been optioned by Nickelodeon Films, the 2006 ALA Notable Book ALL IN JUST ONE COOKIE by Susan E. Goodman, The Capital Mysteries series by Ron Roy, and titles by Avi, Eve Bunting, Mary Downing Hahn and James Howe, among others.

His books have frequently appeared on national lists of note, including those put together by the Children's Book Council, the International Reading Association and Bank Street College of Education. His stage adaptation of his book Grunt! The Primitive Cave Boy was produced by the Denver Center Theatre Company, and toured regionally in the spring of 2000.

Tim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended college on academic scholarship, earning a BA in English. He subsequently spent two years as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant in Vienna, Austria, and has also lived at various times in Rome, the Greek islands, and Cleveland, Ohio.
